Inside Sales Manager
As the Inside Sales Manager, you will be responsible for developing new customers via active sales tactics. These efforts will focus on developing customers who previously have not been aware of Pinnacle’s area of expertise, but may have a need for technology that has been deployed in their industry. The Inside Sales Manager will need to have an ability to recognize market segments, have technical knowledge of converting machines and understand the capital equipment budgeting process. Participation in trade associations and developing presentation material for virtual meetings will be a part of this role. The individual will be required to work out of Pinnacle’s Charlotte, NC facility.
Additional Requirements Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Qualify and track leads developed by these efforts.
- Utilize sales metrics for contacts, leads, quotes and sales on a monthly basis.
- Issue reports from CRM system.
- General support of the General Manager, Technical Manager, and Converting Sales Manager.
- Find and qualify individuals in target markets / target companies to introduce to Pinnacle
- Develop awareness of industry specific machinery.
- Participate in industry specific trade shows.
- Develop and maintain benchmarks.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales/Marketing with 7-10 years of experience performing Inside Sales of capital equipment.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Comfortable with client interaction via phone, web meetings and face to face.
- Intermediate Microsoft office user.
- CRM expertise to track current & potential customer information, including sales forecasts, metrics & action items.
- Excellent organizational and planning skills.
- A high level of autonomy.
- Ability to accumulate and demonstrate technical knowledge.
- Self-motivated, well-organized and team oriented.
- Position reports to General Manager.

Process/Machine Design & Sales Engineer (Charlotte, NC location)

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and successful Machine Design Engineer or current Sales Engineer that wishes to participate in the big picture of project conception, sales and execution.
As the PDS Engineer you will be responsible for conceiving machines, costing, quoting, and presenting the technical solutions to Customers needing custom designed solutions, as well as insuring the solutions are properly and profitably delivered through engineering and manufacturing.
This is a large and important segment of Pinnacle’s business. Most of our customers are domestic with a strong concentration in the Southeastern US. However, we have customers across the US and in a number of other countries. Most of our projects are web material based but also include general manufacturing automation and a variety of processes. Primary Responsibilities:
- Urgently respond to RFQs, develop quotes and costing estimates, follow up on open quotes, and represent the company through the sale process.
- Proactively manage customer projects to ensure customer needs are understood and met, including championing product development activities, conducting plant trials and following up on customer requests.
- Follow up on past Customers when upgrades are needed and to insure Customer satisfaction with current machines.
- Develop key relationships at all levels with existing customers and prospects.
- Collaborate effectively across sales, engineering, customer service and operations functions to ensure customer satisfaction and project success.
- Prepare and deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations; participate in marketing and trade show activities.
- Periodic travel required.
Required Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or technical design discipline.
- 8 to 15 years industrial machine design and manufacturing experience preferred within custom web handling machinery systems.
- Demonstrated track record of ability to effectively communicate with management and Customers.
- Proficient use of CAD.

Required Experience

WELDER MACHINIST ASSEMBLER
SUMMARY: Team member in a creative, growing, customer driven machine building company. This person will weld machine frames and parts, work in the machine shop (mills, and lathes), and assemble custom made industrial machinery. Will need to work closely with Engineering, Fabrication, and Sales personnel to complete projects that will meet or exceed our customer’s expectations. Maintain a safe working environment at all times. Utilize a creative, multi-hat, can-do attitude in a custom project environment. We are seeking individuals who are well skilled, craftsmanship oriented, and motivated.

Converting Machine Operator
Pinnacle Converting Equipment is expanding the Converting Services Department in their Charlotte facility. This department works with technically challenging converting projects and projects for customers considering purchasing new machinery. Pinnacle is looking for a candidate that has experience in working with plant machinery or converting machines such as slitting and sheeting equipment. We are looking for a dedicated converting machine operator that can grow as this department grows.
Reporting to the Factory Manager and working in conjunction with the Company President and Sales Manager, the candidate will work in a team environment to meet and exceed company goals and objectives. This is a full time (M-Th 6am-4:30pm) and possibly Fridays (6am-2:30pm or as necessary) position that will require working inside our shop with slitting and sheeting machines, shrink wrap machines, and forklift (desired but not necessary). Overall duties will be loading material onto machinery, carrying out the converting process using proper procedure, unloading converted material, and packing for shipping.
Candidate must possess skills and characteristics such as:
- Willingness to work as a part of a team
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to measure with basic measuring tools
- Ability to lift 40-50lbs and stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to use basic tools (screwdriver, wrenches, etc)
- Has a controlled sense of urgency
- Willingness to learn and understand different materials such as fabrics, films, and non-wovens
- Understanding of converting procedures for different materials
- Ability to make quick educated decisions
- Ability to communicate in a positive professional manner
- Understands the importance of shop safety
- Willingness to meet or exceed scheduled deadlines
- Willingness to learn or utilize skills in other parts of the business (steel fabrication, welding, etc.)
